Navi Mumbai: The Raigad district administration has launched a week-long Revenue Week from August 1 to 7, 2025, aimed at strengthening citizen services, resolving pending revenue cases, and promoting transparency and accountability in government functioning. The announcement was made during a Revenue Day function held at the District Collectorate, where Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare and Employment Guarantee & Horticulture Minister Bharat Gogawale addressed officials and staff.

District Collector Kishan Jawale said that the initiative will focus on proactive delivery of services, effective implementation of schemes, and creating awareness among citizens about government programs related to land, benefits, and documentation. He added that the administration is committed to ensuring that citizens receive timely and hassle-free services.

As part of the Revenue Week, several initiatives have been planned across the district.

On August 2, the administration will regularize encroachments on government land by distributing land ownership pattas to eligible residents who have been occupying such land since before December 31, 2011.

On August 3, disputes regarding agricultural access roads will be resolved under the “Guardian Minister Farm Access Road Scheme.” Tahsildars and Sub-Divisional Officers will make final decisions after two rounds of appeals. Each farm will be allotted a 12-foot-wide access road, and road numbers will be assigned. Roadside tree plantation will also be carried out, and any tree felling will result in legal action under forest laws.

On August 4, camps will be conducted at the revenue mandal level as part of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj MahaRevenue Campaign. Pending cases will be addressed, and documents such as Aadhaar cards, Sanjay Gandhi Scheme identity cards, residence, caste, income, and caste validity certificates will be distributed. Such camps will be held four times annually moving forward.

On August 5, talathis will visit households to resolve issues related to Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT). They will also assist beneficiaries in linking Aadhaar with bank accounts to ensure smooth receipt of government benefits.

On August 6, a survey will be conducted to identify cases of conditional land allotment violations. In instances where encroachments or breaches of conditions are found, the respective government lands will be reclaimed.

On August 7, discussions on the M-Sand (manufactured sand) policy will be held, followed by a formal concluding ceremony to mark the end of the Revenue Week.

Minister Aditi Tatkare emphasized that the Revenue Department serves as the backbone of state administration and must function with a public-first mindset. She stressed the importance of reaching out to citizens, implementing welfare schemes diligently, and ensuring that each government office is equipped with adequate resources to deliver services efficiently.

Minister Bharat Gogawale reinforced the need for government employees to approach their duties with compassion and a sense of responsibility toward the underprivileged. He reminded officials that ensuring access to basic services and documentation is a core duty of a welfare government.

During the event, beneficiaries of the Swamitva Yojana were presented with title deeds. Several officers and staff from the Revenue and Land Records departments were felicitated for their exemplary service. The honorees included outstanding tahsildars, deputy collectors, land surveyors, police patils, kotwals, revenue assistants, clerks, and drivers from across various subdivisions in Raigad.

Additional Collector Sunil Thorve delivered the vote of thanks. The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and was attended by a large number of officials, including all tahsildars, naib-tahsildars, mandal officers, and revenue employees from across the district.
