Palghar, Maharashtra: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) in Nalasopara successfully rescued a woman forced into prostitution and arrested another woman for allegedly running a sex racket from her residence in Nalasopara West.
Police Inspector Saurabhi Pawar of the AHTU received a tip-off that a woman pimp was supplying girls for sex work. Acting on the information, a police team, along with a decoy customer and two witnesses, conducted a raid on August 7, 2025.
AHTU Rescues Woman Forced Into Prostitution, Arrests Pimp in Nalasopara West
During the operation, police arrested Isha Suresh Chouhan (24), a resident of Nalasopara West, and rescued one victim. According to investigators, Chouhan lured the victim with promises of money, arranged a customer, and collected payment before coercing the victim into prostitution.
