Navi Mumbai Records Over 50 mm Rainfall In 24 Hours; Tree Falls, Fire Calls Reported, No Casualties

The city witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours, with several nodes recording significant precipitation, according to data released by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) on Wednesday evening.

Between 6:30 p.m. on May 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Koparkhairne recorded the highest rainfall at 51.30 mm, followed by Vashi at 41.70 mm and Digha at 28.60 mm. Other areas such as Airoli (22.40 mm), Nerul (11.70 mm), and Belapur (6.20 mm) received comparatively lower amounts of rain. The citywide average stood at 26.98 mm.

The rainfall led to multiple monsoon-related incidents, most notably 23 tree fall cases and three fire-related emergency calls. No injuries or fatalities were reported as of the latest update.
