Navi Mumbai: Former MP and senior leader Ramsheth Thakur paid a goodwill visit to an ongoing eight-day acting workshop in Kharghar, jointly organised by the Panvel Municipal Corporation and the Panvel branch of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad.
"The workshop, aims to offer scientific acting training to aspiring theatre artists from the region. It has received an enthusiastic response from participants," said an official.
During his visit, Thakur interacted with the children participating in the camp, took feedback about their experience, and was briefed about the various activities conducted as part of the training. Expressing satisfaction over the initiative and the large turnout, he extended his best wishes for the success of the workshop.
Thakur was accompanied by Y. T. Deshmukh, Vice President of Janardan Bhagat Education Society, Mrs. Chashminder Bakshi, Coordinator of Public School, Chief PRO of PMC Dr. Raju Patodkar, Parishad Secretary Shyamnath Punde, Joint Secretary Smita Gandhi, and workshop trainers Ashok Kendre, Prof. Ravi Dhutadmal, and Sanket Khedkar.
This is the first such workshop to be held in the Kharghar ward, and municipal officials believe it will play a key role in strengthening the cultural movement within the Panvel municipal limits.

Organisers stated that the initiative reflects a growing commitment to nurturing local talent and promoting structured theatrical training, with the support of both civic authorities and cultural bodies.
