Navi Mumbai: A shocking incident unfolded in Ghansoli on Saturday night after a 33-year-old man, distressed over a breakup, stormed into his girlfriend’s house and assaulted her. The young woman had recently ended their relationship and stopped communicating with him, which reportedly led him into a state of depression.
Despite several attempts to reconcile, the girl refused to continue the relationship. Frustrated and emotionally disturbed, the man went directly to her residence on Saturday night. Once there, he verbally abused her relatives and physically assaulted her. Neighbours intervened and attempted to stop him, but he allegedly hurled abuses at them as well, as reported by Lokmat.

In a fit of rage, the man also vandalised two vehicles, a tempo and a rickshaw, parked on the road outside by throwing stones at them. Those who tried to restrain him were reportedly pushed and manhandled.
Following a complaint filed by the young woman, a case was registered against the accused at Rabale Police Station on Sunday. The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of women and the need for prompt intervention in such emotionally driven violent acts, as reported.
