Navi Mumbai: Kamothe Private Hospital Ward Boy Arrested For Sexually Abusing 17-Year-Old Boy Under POCSO Act

The 17-year-old victim boy, a resident of Panvel was sexually abused by the ward boy on Friday morning. On Thursday, the boy's mother was admitted to a private superspeciality hospital in Kamothe for treatment. The victim stayed at the hospital at night to take care of his mother.

Navi Mumbai: A 27-year-old ward boy of a private hospital has been arrested by Kamothe police for sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy whose mother was admitted in the hospital.

The 17-year-old victim boy, a resident of Panvel was sexually abused by the ward boy on Friday morning. On Thursday, the boy's mother was admitted to a private superspeciality hospital in Kamothe for treatment. The victim stayed at the hospital at night to take care of his mother.

Around 6 am on Friday, while the victim was sleeping, the 27-year-old ward boy of the hospital stripped the boy and sexually abused him. The victim woke from his sleep and reaisited the accused and later informed his parents.

By Friday night, the boy registered a case against the ward boy with Kamothe police. "As per the allegations, we registered a case against the ward boy and he was arrested under Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," senior police inspector Vimal Bidave from Kamothe police station said.
