Nashik: A shocking incident came to light in the jurisdiction of Gangapur Police Station in Nashik, where a young man was brutally murdered. According to reports, three to four individuals severely assaulted the victim, resulting in his death.
Girl's Brother Enraged Over Proposal
The deceased has been identified as Naseem Shah, a resident of Shivajinagar in Nashik. According to a News18 Marathi report, Naseem was in love with a girl from his locality and had recently proposed to her. However, this act reportedly enraged the girl’s brother. Upset by the proposal, he allegedly conspired with three of his associates to confront Naseem.
Victim Attacked In Public View
On Monday evening, around 7 pm, the four accused attacked Naseem in public. The assault was so violent that he succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Locals immediately rushed him to the district hospital in an attempt to save his life, but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival. According to medical reports, Naseem had sustained serious head injuries, which proved to be fatal.
Gangapur Police were informed about the incident late at night and reached the scene to conduct a panchnama (preliminary investigation). The police registered a case and are carrying out further investigation. They are currently searching for the accused, who are reportedly on the run after committing the crime.
The brutal nature of the attack and the reason behind it, simply proposing to a girl, has shocked the residents. Local residents are demanding swift justice and stricter action against the perpetrators.
Police officials are recording statements from witnesses and checking CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the attackers. They have assured that all those involved will be apprehended soon.
