Mumbai: In a heartbreaking incident in Mumbai's Mankhurd area, an eight-year-old boy lost his life after falling into a water-filled pit near an ongoing metro construction site in Sonapur on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services, including the police and fire brigade, rushed to the scene following a distress call. Aryan was pulled from the water and immediately taken to Rajawadi Hospital in a police vehicle. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead on arrival, according to a The Times Of India report.
Eyewitnesses informed police that Aryan had been playing near the construction zone when the tragic accident occurred. Authorities have registered a case of accidental death, and an investigation is underway to determine whether there was negligence involved in securing the construction site.
