Mumbai: Mumbai and it's metropolitan regions will continue to witness the increased rainfall activity this week. Starting from June 22 to 26, the districts of Mumbai, Thane and Palghar are placed under Yellow Alert for Heavy rainfall at isolated places.
While the other districts in the Konkan region - Raigad and Ratnagiri are placed under Orange Alert for June 23 and 26. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) was warned for fairly widespread heavy rainfall across the state in coming days.
As per local weather forecast for the next 48 hours, the skies in Mumbai city and suburbs will be generally with possibility of heavy rainfall at few places. The maximum and minimum temperatures will to be around 31°C and 26°C respectively.
With the incessant rains last week across the state, the catchment areas also received adequate rainfall to satisfactory increase the water levels. By the morning of June 22, the levels at seven lakes supplying water to Mumbai have reached to 26.84%. On the same day last year, the lake levels were at mere 5.31% and in 2023 were 7.09%.

The early arrival of monsoon and fairly widespread rainfall since then, has given a relief to Mumbaikar as lake levels have sufficiently increased. The Bhandup Complex, which purifies and supplies water across Mumbai has recieved 368 mm rainfall so far.
