Mumbai News: Parents Clash Outside JJ Hospital Over Infant’s Discharge; Police Intervene, Baby Readmitted

The man, Vighnesh Tewar, informed police that his wife Najo Shaikh was trying to take the infant away without informing the hospital staff. When questioned, Shaikh claimed she was taking the child home because the doctors were not discharging him.

A ruckus erupted outside J J Hospital on Saturday when a man quarreled with his wife who was taking away their hospitalised infant home without doctor's advice. The duo fought near the institute's gate 6, prompting the police's intervention.

The man, Vighnesh Tewar, informed police that his wife Najo Shaikh was trying to take the infant away without informing the hospital staff. When questioned, Shaikh claimed she was taking the child home because the doctors were not discharging him.

The police helped resolve the matter and the infant was readmitted to the hospital. No case was filed.
