Mumbai: In a proud and inspiring moment for the force, Mumbai Police organised a grand Piping ceremony to formally acknowledge the promotion of over 550 personnel across various ranks on Monday. The initiative follows the vision of Hon. Commissioner of Police, Deven Bharti, not just as a ceremonial event but as a symbol of respect, recognition, and inspiration.
Promotion is a mark of years of dedication, integrity, and unwavering service to the people. The piping ceremony was held under the guidance of the respective additional commissioners of Police and saw enthusiastic participation from the newly promoted officers, their families, and senior officials.
As part of the promotions:
169 Police Head Constables were promoted to Assistant Police Sub-Inspectors
213 Police Constables and Police Naiks were promoted to Police Head Constables
69 Police Head Constable Drivers were promoted to Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Drivers
101 Police Constable Drivers and Police Naik Drivers moved up to Police Head Constable Drivers
3 Police Head Constables (Technical) were promoted to Assistant Police Sub-Inspector (Technical)
