Mumbai: A level-1 fire occurred early Monday morning at a Bata showroom in Chembur, affecting the store's electrical wiring, installations, shoe stock, and false ceiling. The incident was reported to the Control Room at 4:35 am, and an update followed at 8:35 am.

The fire damaged a 2,000 sq ft area on the ground floor and part of the basement within the commercial building located at Shiv Ashish CHS, near Malhar Hotel, which has a basement, ground floor, and seven upper floors. The Mumbai Fire Brigade deployed multiple units to manage the situation, with support from police, BMC ward staff, 108 ambulance service, PWD personnel, and Adani Electricity.

The fire was brought under control and extinguished by 7:50 am, with no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains unconfirmed. The affected location is detailed as Bata Showroom, Shiv Ashish CHS, Road No 19, Plot No 10, Chembur.
