Mumbai: The final round of the Annual Fire Drill Competition 2025, organised under the Mumbai Fire Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Friday. The event was successfully held today at the department's headquarters in Byculla. Teams from various fire circles across the city took part in the event, showcasing their emergency response skills and teamwork through live fire drill demonstrations.

The competition not only highlighted the preparedness of Mumbai’s fire teams but also emphasised the importance of safety training and coordination during real-life emergencies. A video of the event was shared on X to showcase the impressive performances and behind-the-scenes efforts of Mumbai’s dedicated fire personnel.

The event was attended by several officials, including Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs) Dr Amit Saini, Deputy Commissioner (Finance) Mr Prashant Gaikwad, Officer on Special Duty (Municipal Commissioner’s Office) Mr Chandrashekhar Chore, Chief Fire Officer Mr Ravindra Ambulgekar, and popular actor Mr Sonu Sood. Fire department officials and other guests also witnessed the live drills and appreciated the participants' efforts.

An X post shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated, "The final round of the annual fire drill competition 2025 under the Mumbai Fire Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation was concluded today at the Mumbai Fire Department headquarters in Byculla. On this occasion, teams from various circles presented fire drills. Video of the event."

BMC Holds 'Fire Safety Awareness Rally'

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) organised a 'Fire Safety Awareness Rally' on Thursday as part of its ongoing 'Fire Service Week' initiative. The rally began at the Byculla Fire Station and concluded at the Gowalia Fire Station, aiming to promote public awareness about fire safety and highlight the work of the Mumbai Fire Department.

Chief Fire Officer Mr Ravindra Ambulgekar flagged off the rally, which saw participation from various senior officials. Among those present were Deputy Chief Fire Officers Mr Santosh Sawant and Mr Devendra Patil, along with several other officers and fire brigade personnel.
