Mumbai: The Kalachowki police have registered a case against six individuals, including five minors, for the alleged gang-rape and video recording of a 15-year-old girl. Police have taken all six into custody, with the five minor accused being sent to the Dongri Children's Observation Home. The 27-year-old accused has been arrested.

According to the complaint filed by the victim's mother, a 17-year-old accused first befriended the victim and On October 1, he took her to the house of the 27-year-old arrested accused, where the group allegedly committed the sexual assault and filmed it.

The accused then used these video recordings to threaten and coerce the girl, forcing her to send nude videos. The complaint further alleges that four other minors subsequently assaulted the victim, using the same video recordings to blackmail her.

The crime came to light when the girlfriend of one of the minor accused grew suspicious of his relationship with the victim. She went to the victim's house and informed the victim's mother. Upon checking her daughter's phone, the mother discovered the obscene videos.

After learning the full story from her daughter, the mother took her to the Kalachowki police station and filed a complaint.

Based on the mother's complaint, the Kalachowki police have registered a case under sections 65(1), 70(2), 351(2), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act and sections 4, 8, and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The minor accused are between the ages of 16 and 17. Police have seized mobile phones from the accused and are conducting an investigation with the help of forensic experts.
