Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in the 24-story building, Sai Sapphire, located in Powai, during the early morning hours. The fire originated from the duct on the 17th floor. Firefighter units rushed to the spot. Around 9:30 am on Thursday.

A sudden blaze erupted on the 17th level of the building, which is near Gopal Sharma International School in Powai. The intensity of the fire continued to rise. Firefighters are actively working to extinguish the flames, and the Municipal Corporation has reported that no injuries occurred during the incident.

Once the blaze ignited on the 17th floor of the high-rise, the occupants swiftly evacuated the structure. Additionally, after being notified about the accident, fire brigade staff arrived at the scene and initiated the rescue operation.

Officers and personnel from the relevant municipal department also hurried to the scene. Nevertheless, the strength of the fire is steadily escalating, and the fire department assigned the fire a number one priority at 9:58 am. Additionally, the firefighters are utilising various modern systems to assist in controlling the fire.

Meanwhile, A fire broke out on Monday morning at the dumping transfer station in CP Talaw, located in the Wagale Estate near the Wagle Depot in Thane. According to reports, there are no casualties reported from the incident.

Chief Yasin Tadvi, of the Regional Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, reported, "We received information about the fire at 7:53 AM. Following a call, we dispatched a team comprising one fire tender, one rescue vehicle, and one jumbo water tank to extinguish it. The fire was brought under control within two hours. Subsequently, a cooling operation started."
