Mumbai: A major fire erupted on Wednesday morning at a commercial gala in Adarsh Nagar of Oshiwara area, located in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb. The blaze, which started around 10 am, was primarily confined to a furniture and timber shop housed within the structure. Within minutes, thick black smoke and flames engulfed the shop, drawing the attention of local residents and passersby.
Visuals Show Massive Fire
Dramatic visuals from the site surfaced on social media, showing massive flames leaping from the building and a thick plume of smoke rising above the area. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.
Six fire engines from the Mumbai Fire Brigade were rushed to the scene to contain the fire. Emergency teams worked quickly to prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining units in the commercial complex. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or casualties. The shop, however, suffered major damage due to the intensity of the fire.
Preliminary observations suggest that the fire spread rapidly due to the presence of large quantities of wood and flammable materials stored inside the unit. However, the exact cause of the fire has not been determined yet, and an official investigation is currently underway.
