Mumbai: Western Railway has announced a major block on Saturday and Sunday for re-girdering work of bridge number 61 located between Kandivali and Borivali. As a result 73 Suburban Trains will be cancelled on Saturday, 90 on Sunday on WR.
According to an official The re-girdering work will require a major 35-hour block starting from 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, until midnight of April 27/28, 2025 (Sunday/Monday). As a result, 73 Suburban trains will be cancelled on Saturday, 90 on Sunday.
During the block period, suburban and Mail/Express trains that typically run on the 5th line will be diverted to the Fast lines. Some long-distance services will be impacted as well, with partial cancellations and changes in origin and termination points.

Mail/Express Train Repercussions:
Train No. 19418 Ahmedabad – Borivali Express on April 25 and 26 will be short-terminated at Vasai Road, and remain partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Borivali.
Train No. 19417 Borivali – Ahmedabad Express on April 27 will short-originate from Vasai Road, remaining partially cancelled between Borivali and Vasai Road.
Train No. 19425 Borivali – Nandurbar Express on April 26 and 27 will short-originate from Bhayander, and remain partially cancelled between Bhayander and Borivali.

Train No. 19426 Nandurbar – Borivali Express on April 26 will be short-terminated at Vasai Road, remaining partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Borivali.
Western Railway has urged passengers to plan their travel accordingly and check the updated schedules. Detailed lists of affected suburban services are available in the official annexure and have also been uploaded to Western Railway’s website at wr.indianrailways.gov.in
