Mumbai: In a bid to promote road safety and traffic discipline, the Kharghar traffic unit conducted an awareness drive on June 27 at 10:10 AM at the Hiranandani signal, one of the busiest traffic junction of the node.
During the initiative, vehicle drivers halted at the signal were shown placards highlighting key traffic rules, with a special focus on maintaining lane discipline.
The campaign aimed to educate motorists on the importance of following traffic norms to ensure smoother and safer commuting. Around 15 to 20 vehicle owners participated in the awareness activity.
The drive was led by Senior Police Inspector S.S. Kane, Assistant Police Inspector (Grade) Korde, and accompanying police staff, who personally interacted with the public and appealed for responsible driving behavior.

Meanwhile, consistent improvement in traffic behavior is being observed at other key junctions as well. A local resident Subhash Kabnur shared, "Lane discipline observed at 3 Monkey Signal at 7:40 AM. I have been noticing this frequently. Many thanks to awareness program done by the traffic police team."
