Mumbai: Amid rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border, Mumbai’s Tata Memorial Hospital received a bomb threat via email on Friday morning, triggering a security scare. According to police, the threat was sent to the hospital's official email ID around Today 9 AM, claiming that a bomb had been planted on the premises and would explode soon. The sender also warned that patients should be evacuated immediately.
Upon receiving the threat, the hospital administration immediately alerted the Mumbai Police. Multiple agencies, including the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), dog squad, and cyber cell, rushed to the site. A mock drill and thorough search of the entire hospital complex were conducted, but no suspicious items were found.
The Bhoiwada police have registered an FIR against an unidentified individual and launched an investigation. Zone 4 DCP Ragsudha R. confirmed that efforts are underway to trace the IP address from which the email was sent. Police have also reached out to Google to obtain further details about the sender's email account.

Preliminary findings suggest that the email may have been sent using a VPN or masked IP address. While no immediate threat was uncovered, authorities remain on high alert as cyber experts continue to trace the source of the hoax.
