Mumbai Crime News: Former Colleague Hits Security Guard With Sickle Over Salary Dispute In Kandivali

A 41-year-old security guard, Deepak Kalpnath Dubey, was attacked with a sickle by ex-colleague Lalit Premsagar Tiwari after a salary dispute in Mumbai. Tiwari, a dismissed security guard, had previous complaints against him and had not received his due wages.

Mumbai: A 41-year-old security guard was assaulted with a sickle by an ex-colleague after a supposed argument regarding overdue salary in Mumbai, police stated, according to report by PTI. The victim, Deepak Kalpnath Dubey, was employed at a construction site in Kandivali when he was attacked by the suspect, Lalit Premsagar Tiwari (26), according to an official.

Tiwari previously served as a security guard at the building, but an official stated that his company dismissed him, reportedly due to negligence and multiple complaints against him. The firm, which also held back Tiwari's wages, subsequently retained Dubey in his position.

On the morning of July 13, Tiwari visited the building and had a fierce dispute with Dubey concerning his unpaid salary. In the midst of the dispute, he took a sickle from his bag and struck Dubey on the head, leg, abdomen, and hand, according to the official.

Upon receiving the alert, the Kandivali police arrived at the location and transported Dubey to the Shatabdi Hospital managed by the civic authorities. Tiwari was later taken into custody, as reported by PTI.

The official informed that a case has been filed against the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for attempted murder. Man pursuing a refund for his daughter's fees killed by Parbhani school admin and spouse.

In a separate incident, police reported on Friday that a 42-year-old farmer who requested a refund of his daughter's fees was reportedly killed by the school administration head in Maharashtra's Parbhani district, according to PTI.

An official stated that the event occurred on Thursday night in the Zero Phata region of Purna. Jagannath Hengde was assaulted on Thursday evening in Purna's Zero Phata area by the head of a residential school and his wife after he demanded a fee refund and his daughter's transfer certificate. Following a dispute over unpaid fees, Hengde was beaten and later succumbed to his injuries. Both the school head and his wife, linked to a political party, have been charged, and an investigation is ongoing, according to police.
