Mumbai: In a major anti-drug operation, the Unit 9 of the Mumbai Crime Branch has seized hydro ganja worth ₹4.5 crore from Andheri East and arrested three individuals in connection with the case. The accused have been identified as Shubha Siroya (25), Harsh Choksi (20), and Siddharth Shetty (25).
According to crime branch officials, the arrests were made late on the night of July 4, based on a tip-off received during routine patrolling in the JB Nagar area on VM Shah Road. The police noticed three individuals behaving suspiciously and attempting to conceal their identities.
Upon detaining and conducting a thorough search of the trio, officers recovered 4.057 kilograms of hydro ganja — a potent variety of marijuana — from their possession. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is pegged at ₹4.05 crore in the international market.

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The Crime Branch is continuing its investigation to trace the source and network behind the drug supply.
