Mumbai: The Kandivali unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested a 30-year-old man and seized a large quantity of drugs, including 143 grams of cocaine and 13 grams of ecstasy (MDMA), worth more than Rs 1.46 crore.
ANC Kandivli Arrests Suspect in Major Drug Bust
The operation was carried out on August 12 following a tip-off about drug trafficking in the Juhu and Andheri (West) areas. Acting on the information, police laid a trap near St. Joseph School and apprehended the suspect. Preliminary investigation revealed that he was actively involved in the supply of cocaine and ecstasy in the locality.
Case Registered Under NDPS Act
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway. The raid was conducted under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade and ANC chief Navnath Dhawale, with the team led by Senior PI Shashikant Jagdale.
