Mumbai Accident: Worli Resident Loses Control Of His Car, Kills Gate Employee At Basement Parking Lot In Santacruz; Police Issue Notice

The accident occurred around 7.45pm when Belekar’s car sped out of the parking lot and collided with Shukla before crashing into a compound wall. Shukla suffered severe injuries to his abdomen and ribs and was rushed to Guru Nanak Hospital, where he was declared dead at 9.59pm.

A 34-year-old Worli resident received a police notice after his car struck a 44-year-old man, killing the victim, in the Kalina area of Santacruz on December 12. Prabodhan Belekar lost control of his vehicle while exiting the basement parking lot of the Insignia building, managed by OM Sai Siddhi Company, and hit Banarasilal Shukla, an employee of the Pay and Park service.

The accident occurred around 7.45pm when Belekar’s car sped out of the parking lot and collided with Shukla before crashing into a compound wall. Shukla suffered severe injuries to his abdomen and ribs and was rushed to Guru Nanak Hospital, where he was declared dead at 9.59pm.

Following a complaint by Shukla’s colleague Rahul Singh, the police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita
