Mumbai: 24-year-old woman found hanging at employer’s home in Bhayandar

Bhayandar: Mystery shrouds the death of a 24-year-old woman whose body was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at the tenement of her employer in Bhayandar on Friday evening. According to the police, the incident was reported from a residence-cum-hook manufacturing unit located in the Navghar village area of Bhayandar (east) owned by a person who is also the office bearer of a local unit of a regional political party.

The woman (name withheld), who worked at the industrial unit, was found hanging to the ceiling fan on the mezzanine floor which housed the owner and his family. While no suicide note was recovered, the investigating team which is trying to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step, has questioned the owner of the industrial unit. Meanwhile, a case of accidental death has been registered at the Navghar police station. Further investigations are on.
