Sapkal Hails Durrani’s Entry as Boost to Congress in Marathwada
Speaking on the occasion, MPCC President Harshvardhan Sapkal welcomed the new entrants and expressed confidence that Durrani's entry would strengthen the Congress party in Parbhani district and across the Marathwada region.
“There are currently two ideologies in the country – one that believes in equality, the Constitution, and inclusivity, and the other that supports authoritarianism and the concept of ‘hum do hamare do’. Congress shares the same DNA as India. Today, there is lawlessness in the country, where the nation is being held hostage for one industrialist, and in Maharashtra, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers are in constant conflict. Babajani Durrani has chosen the ideology that connects the nation and upholds the values of Maharashtra,” Sapkal said.
Amit Deshmukh: Durrani’s Trust in Gandhi Family Signals Bright Future
Former minister Amit Deshmukh remarked that Durrani has joined Congress after placing his faith in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge.
“Durrani is a mass leader. His inclusion in Congress marks a bright future for the party in Marathwada. Under Sapkal’s leadership, there is now a wave of incoming leaders to the Congress, and soon, there will be a queue to join,” Deshmukh added.
Durrani Slams BJP Alliance, Pitches Congress as Inclusive Force
Addressing the gathering, Babajani Durrani stated that minorities, OBCs, and backward communities do not feel safe under the current BJP-led alliance government. “Maharashtra is a progressive state built on the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. My colleagues and I believe in the same ideology. The Congress party represents all castes and religions. In the future, only two parties will remain in the country – the Congress and the BJP,” he asserted, expressing confidence that Congress would become the leading party in Parbhani district.
Several other leaders from the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) and other parties also joined the Congress during the event. These include Shiv Liladhar Bende (Nagpur city vice president), Rizwan Ansari (President, Minority Cell – Nagpur), Santosh Singh (District spokesperson), Rajesh Rangari (District President, Bharatiya Kamgar Sena), Shyam Chaudhary (Former city president, All India Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad – Nagpur), and MNS leader from Malad, Mumbai, Rajesh Nandanwar, along with their supporters.
