Maharashtra DyCM Ajit Pawar Orders Relocation Of Government Offices To State Buildings; Reviews Key Infrastructure Projects

Ajit Pawar emphasised that while development works across the state are being accelerated, citizens must not be inconvenienced, and there must be proper planning of transport and execution to ensure timely completion.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has instructed that a special campaign be launched to relocate all government offices from rented premises to government-owned buildings. Priority should be given to constructing new buildings by allocating the necessary funds. He emphasised that while development works across the state are being accelerated, citizens must not be inconvenienced, and there must be proper planning of transport and execution to ensure timely completion. He also directed that work on the crucial Ahilyanagar–Beed–Parli railway project, aimed at the development of Marathwada, be expedited.

These instructions were given during a meeting of the ‘Deputy CM’s Project Monitoring Cell’ held at Mantralaya, chaired by Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. Present at the meeting were Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) O.P. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (PWD) Manisha Mhaiskar, Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Vikaschandra Rastogi, Managing Director of MahaRail Rajeshkumar Jaiswal, Secretary to the Deputy CM Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, and Chief Engineer of PWD Pune Division Atul Chavan. Senior officials from Pune, PMRDA, MahaMetro, and district administrations also joined virtually, including Pune Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, MahaMetro MD Shravan Hardikar, Pune Collector Jitendra Dudi, Satara Collector Santosh Patil, and Metropolitan Commissioner & CEO Yogesh Mhase. The meeting was coordinated by Deputy Secretary Vikas Dhakne.

Shivajinagar–Hinjewadi Metro, Pune Metro Lines 1 & 2

Rewas–Redi Coastal Highway (to promote Konkan tourism)

Skywalk and Tiger Point Development in Lonavala

Medical Colleges in Satara and Usar (Alibag)

Pune Outer Ring Road

GST Bhavan in Wadala

Pune–Nashik High-Speed Railway

SARTHI Divisional Offices in Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Kharghar, and Amravati

Proposed AIIMS Hospital in Aundh, Pune

Mirkarwada Port Development in Ratnagiri

Radio Club Jetty in Mumbai

Neral–Shirur–Karjat Road

Satara Sainik School

Government Veterinary Colleges in Parli (Beed) and Baramati

Airports in Purandar, Baramati, and Beed

Agriculture Bhavan, Olympic Bhavan, Labour Welfare Bhavan, Town Planning Bhavan, Cooperation Bhavan, and Registration Bhavan in Pune
