IndiGo, Akasa Air Expand International Flights From Mumbai Connecting To Tashkent, Almety & Phuket; Check Out Flight Schedule

IndiGo will initiate four weekly flights from Mumbai to Tashkent and Almaty starting September 1, 2025. Akasa Air will begin daily flights to Phuket from Mumbai on September 20, 2025, expanding its international network.

Mumbai: IndiGo will launch four weekly flights from Mumbai to Tashkent and Almaty starting September 1, expanding its international route network. The airline has recently begun flying from Mumbai to Tbilisi, Georgia, expanding its global network even further.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said in an official statement, “Building on the successful operations from New Delhi to Tbilisi, Almaty and Tashkent, we are pleased to now connect all these destinations with Mumbai. Recently, we have also commenced our long-haul flights from Mumbai to Manchester & Amsterdam, marking our entry into Europe. With these, IndiGo will further strengthen connectivity from the country’s financial capital to destinations within India, as well as across the globe. We hope that customers will enjoy flying to different parts of the world from Mumbai with India’s preferred airline.”

Akasa Air has announced Phuket as its sixth international destination, with daily direct flights from Mumbai starting September 20, 2025. This marks the airline’s entry into Southeast Asia, enhancing connections between India and Thailand, two rapidly growing regions. Flight QP 0618 departs Mumbai at 0745 hrs, arriving in Phuket at 1435 hrs. Return flight QP 0619 leaves Phuket at 1535 hrs.

Bookings are now open through Akasa's website, apps, and various OTAs. Phuket, a beloved vacation spot for Indian travelers, offers stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and delicious cuisine, making it an ideal destination.

The flights will feature flexible morning and evening schedules for optimal traveller convenience. Akasa Air’s Co-Founder Praveen Iyer emphasised the airline’s commitment to supporting the growing demands of modern Indian travellers and strengthening cultural ties.
