A 47-year-old woman from Kalyan, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died at a private hospital in Kalyan on the night of May 23. She was admitted to the hospital the same day with ongoing health complications, and her swab sample was taken for testing. Unfortunately, she passed away that night. Her COVID-19 test report, which came after her death, confirmed that she was infected with the virus.
According to health officials, the woman had been suffering from typhoid-related complications and had previously been treated by local physicians, but her condition did not improve. She was eventually admitted to the hospital, where she passed away within hours. Her body was handed over to her family for final rites in their village, and they were informed posthumously that she had tested positive for COVID-19. Authorities advised the family to strictly follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
