Mumbai: In a significant development in the Cotton Green arms seizure case, Mumbai Crime Branch’s interrogation of five Bishnoi gang operatives arrested with a cache of weapons has led to key revelations. During questioning by the Anti Extortion Cell, the accused disclosed that a man named Harish alias Yogesh had supplied them with weapons in Haryana. However, the intended target and purpose of the arms in Mumbai remain under wraps, and investigators have yet to determine the planned operation.
According to a senior Crime Branch officer, the weapons were handed over to the operatives just days before they departed for Mumbai. Following this revelation, a manhunt has been launched to trace Harish. Mumbai Police is coordinating with Haryana Police and has shared key interrogation inputs to assist in locating him.
The probe further deepened when officers examined the mobile phone of one accused, Aditya Yogesh Kaushik, and discovered several photos, videos, and other media related to various firearms. Based on this digital evidence, Aditya is being intensively interrogated by Crime Branch officials.

Background checks revealed that the arrested operatives were out on bail and were found carrying weapons and cartridges without a license — a serious violation. Sources confirmed that Aditya had direct links with gangster Goldy Brar, while another accused, Rahul Prithvi Singh, was also found to have connections with the Bishnoi gang.
Five accused sent into Police Custody till 12 August.
Additionally, it has come to light that out of the five arrested individuals, four are history-sheeters with multiple cases lodged against them, including charges of murder. The investigation is ongoing, and Crime Branch officials are working to uncover the larger conspiracy behind the presence of these armed operatives in Mumbai.
