Delhi HC Receives Bomb Threat
In a similar incident reported earlier today, the Delhi High Court was thrown into turmoil on Friday after receiving a bomb threat via e-mail, prompting an immediate evacuation of the premises. Court proceedings were disrupted as multiple Benches abruptly rose, and judges, lawyers, and staff were asked to vacate the building. The sudden move led to chaotic scenes, with hundreds of people rushing out of the complex in panic.
A bomb disposal squad and security teams quickly reached the spot, while the entire area around the court was cordoned off to prevent any untoward incident. According to reports, the sender of the threat mail claimed that three bombs had been planted inside the court premises and warned that they would be detonated after 2 pm.
As per reports, the e-mail originated from an ID in the name of Kanimozhi Thevidiya. Police sources confirmed they were tracing the source of the mail and investigating its authenticity. Despite the intense search operation that followed, officials stated that nothing suspicious had been found so far.
