K-pop heartthrob Jackson Wang recently lit up the stage on The Great Indian Kapil Show, bringing his signature mix of charisma, cheeky humour, and global stardom to the Indian audience. But amid the laughter and banter, one particular comment from the GOT7 member sparked an unexpected wave of emotion and reassurance from fans across the country.

Maybe this is my last visit...'

During his appearance on the show, Jackson made a playful yet surprising remark that caught everyone's attention.

"This is my second time in India, but no one recognised me at the clubs. Whenever someone asked for an autograph, it was always ‘for a friend’, never for themselves. Maybe this is my last visit to India. I am so sad," he quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd but also concern from his fans online.

Host Kapil Sharma tried to lift the mood by asking the audience who among them were Jackson’s fans. The response? Nearly every hand in the studio shot up. Jackson, never one to miss a beat, replied with a smile, "Very good actors," keeping the tone light and humorous.

Clips from the episode quickly flooded social media, with fans expressing their love and assuring Jackson that he is widely admired in India.

More about the episode

The episode was filmed during Jackson’s most recent trip to India to promote his latest solo album MAGICMAN 2. He shared the couch with Bollywood actors Vijay Varma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Pratik Gandhi, and Jitendra Kumar, making it one of the most diverse line-ups seen on the show.

This wasn't Jackson’s first interaction with Indian audiences. He first visited in 2023 when he performed at Lollapalooza India, leaving fans in awe with his electric stage presence. Earlier this year, he also teamed up with Punjabi music icon Diljit Dosanjh for their hit single Buck, blending K-pop and desi beats in style.
