In a career-defining moment, Ankush Bahuguna, one of India’s most beloved content creators, recently joined Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco for a special baking session at an intimate event in Malibu, California. Organised to celebrate the upcoming Rare Beauty fragrance launch, the event brought together a select group of global beauty influencers- with Ankush being the only Indian and the only male creator in the room.

From Pistachio Tiramisu to Porch Chats

Ankush didn’t just bake a pistachio tiramisu with the pop star -he also bonded with her over fun, candid moments that fans can’t get enough of. In his latest Instagram post, Ankush is seen recording a video with Selena by a picturesque seaside porch.

With his signature humor, he says, “So I’ve met Selena two days in a row, so it practically makes us besties.” Without missing a beat, Selena smiles and replies, “We are!”

“Still Feels Like a Dream”: Ankush on Meeting Selena

Talking to the media, Ankush described the baking session as one of the most unforgettable moments of his life. “We baked a pistachio tiramisu, and it is a memory etched into my heart,” he said. “Selena is so warm, kind, and deeply involved in her work. Everything I had heard about her being genuine is absolutely true.”

He also shared how surreal it felt to be included in such an elite global circle. “It was an honour to be in the same room as her. I’m still pinching myself,” he added.

Who Is Ankush Bahuguna?

Before becoming a digital sensation, Ankush was an architect and worked a corporate job. But his passion for content creation and self-expression led him down a different path. Today, with over a million Instagram followers, Ankush is celebrated for his gender-positive makeup tutorials, relatable comedy, and authentic storytelling.

He’s also no stranger to the international stage-earlier this year, he made headlines for his red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2025, further proving that Indian influencers are making a mark globally.

Inside Rare Beauty’s scented soiree

The Malibu event was hosted by Selena Gomez to introduce Rare Beauty’s debut fragrance, set to be launched globally later this year. Staying true to her brand’s inclusive ethos, Selena ensured the event was intimate, collaborative, and filled with heart. The baking session was just one of the many ways she connected with creators and fans personally.
