Indian designer Rahul Mishra has once again proven why he’s among the most compelling voices in global couture. After presenting his deeply personal “The Pale Blue Dot” Paris Couture Spring 2025 showcase, Mishra returned to Paris-known as the City of Love-with an even more evocative collection titled “Becoming Love” for Fall 2025.
This collection explores love in its myriad forms, charting a poetic journey through the seven stages of love-from the initial spark of attraction and infatuation to surrender, reverence, devotion, and obsession, culminating in the transcendence of love through death itself.
The ethereal muse in white
Bollywood actress Lisa Haydon stole the spotlight as the show’s showstopper, gracing the runway in a sheer white couture gown. The striking ensemble fused Rahul Mishra’s signature design language-celebrating Indian craftsmanship and contemporary elegance.
Her corset-inspired dress, shimmering with sequins and delicate floral appliqué, hugged her figure with refined grace. The strapless gown’s cinched bodice transitioned fluidly into a floor-sweeping silhouette, creating the impression of a living, breathing canvas of couture.

Accessorised to perfection
Lisa elevated her runway look with sparkling diamond jewellery by Tanishq. The statement necklace and matching earrings added just the right amount of opulence without overwhelming the gown’s intricate artistry.
To complement the ensemble, she wore her hair in a sleek, slicked-back style that highlighted her sculpted features. A dewy makeup base, nude-toned eyeshadow, and a soft pink lip completed her fresh, romantic aesthetic.
A visionary celebration of Indian craftsmanship
The “Becoming Love” collection isn’t just about breathtaking silhouettes-it’s an exploration of emotion and connection, brought to life with Rahul Mishra’s meticulous detailing. Each piece in the collection radiates his signature blend of traditional Indian textiles, modern tailoring, and artful embellishments.

Mishra’s designs often draw inspiration from nature and philosophical musings, and this collection is no exception. With “Becoming Love,” he transforms couture into a narrative medium, telling the story of love’s evolution in a way that feels universal yet profoundly personal.
As Rahul Mishra’s Fall 2025 collection garners praise from fashion critics and enthusiasts alike, it reaffirms his position as a designer who doesn’t merely create clothing but weaves stories of emotion, heritage, and transformation.
