Diljit Dosanjh is officially taking his charm (and humour) global as he gears up for his much-anticipated debut at the Met Gala 2025. While many celebrities keep their Met Gala preparations tightly under wraps, Diljit is delightfully breaking that unsaid rule, offering fans a playful behind-the-scenes glimpse into his journey straight from New York City.
On Monday, the singer-actor took to Instagram to share a candid video, revealing the coveted Met Gala invitation, a moment fans couldn’t get enough of. Dressed casually in his hotel room, Diljit held up the sleek invite and gave his followers a light-hearted tour of what's inside and what to expect at the year's biggest fashion event.

A peek inside the Met Gala invite
Diljit's invite included detailed information about the gala's theme, seating arrangements, and event protocols. "The theme this year is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," he explained, giving viewers a closer look at the invitation's minimalist yet chic design.
The invite also listed some of the high-profile guests he'd be attending with, including NBA legend LeBron James and rapper A$AP Rocky – a star-studded gala indeed.
But it wasn't just the guest list that caught his attention. Reading aloud the strict no-phones, no-photography policy set by Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Diljit couldn't help but crack a joke. "No reels allowed?" he exclaimed in fake disbelief before quipping in Punjabi: "Per person, per plate da hisaab hai," compared to an Indian wedding, counting per plate per person.
Diljit Dosanjh's historic Met Gala debut
Diljit's upcoming appearance is more than just a fashion moment; it marks a historic milestone as he becomes the first Punjabi artist to walk the Met Gala red carpet. The singer is set to adorn a show-stopping couture creation by one of Met's most celebrated designer Prabal Gurung.
He'll be joining other Indian icons like Shah Rukh Khan, Kiara Advani, and Priyanka Chopra, making Met Gala 2025 a standout year for Indian representation at fashion's biggest gathering.
