20 Years In Global Banking — Then Pushkar Anand Set Out To Teach The World What It Really Means To Be Rich

On paper, Pushkar Anand was a traditional text book success. A high-flying career in international banking, degrees from two of the most prestigious institutions in the world and years spent dealing with CEOs and successful entrepreneurs. But in 2008, as global markets trembled and old systems collapsed, Anand found himself asking a quieter, more personal question: “Is this it?”

New Delhi [India], May 19: On paper, Pushkar Anand was a traditional text book success. A high-flying career in international banking, degrees from two of the most prestigious institutions in the world and years spent dealing with CEOs and successful entrepreneurs. But in 2008, as global markets trembled and old systems collapsed, Anand found himself asking a quieter, more personal question: “Is this it?”

Nearly two decades later, that question has evolved into a movement.

Today, Anand is the author of Manifest Your Infinite Riches, a #1 international bestseller that straddles the worlds of modern self-help and timeless spiritual inquiry. He’s also the founder of the Centre for Infinite Riches®, a platform with an ambitious mission: to help millions reconnect with who they were always meant to be.

But the journey that brought him here wasn’t a pivot. It was a dismantling.

A Life Scripted for Success

Born in New Delhi in 1976, Pushkar Anand grew up straddling Indian traditions and a global curiosity. He holds British nationality and is an Overseas Citizen of India, a duality that would come to define both his worldview and his personal ethos.

After completing his MSc at the London School of Economics in 2002, Anand entered the world of global finance with the same intensity and precision he would later bring to his writing. A few years later, he returned to school for an MBA at the University of Cambridge, where he earned High Distinction for a dissertation exploring Shakespeare and Leadership. Even then, his peers noticed: Anand wasn’t just interested in management theory. He was searching for something older, more archetypal.

The next five years till 2008, Anand operated inside the world of global banking. His career was enviable. His resume, bulletproof. But then, something shifted — a moment he has never publicly described in detail. What he does say is that it came with a deep internal reckoning.

“I realised I was succeeding by someone else’s definition,” he wrote in a recent blog post. “And I wasn’t sure I even liked the game.”

The Journey Inward

The next 15 years were anything but linear.

Anand immersed himself in what he calls “conscious growth.” He read more than 500 books across psychology, philosophy, and metaphysics. He attended over 30 seminars. And perhaps most critically, he began training with Blaine Bartlett, a U.S.-based leadership coach and spiritual teacher whom Anand now calls Grandmaster B².

Their relationship is central to Anand’s evolution — not in a performative, guru-disciple sense, but more like a Socratic exchange that never ends. The goal wasn't a success. It was an alignment.

This thinking eventually crystallised into his first book. Published with love, Manifest Your Infinite Riches soon became a bestseller. Unlike many self-help books, it doesn't rely on hacks or hustle. Instead, it draws from Anand’s lived experience — blending ancient insight with boardroom wisdom, ageless motifs with neuroscience, and Eastern stillness with Western ambition.

The Centre and the Cause

In 2024, Anand launched the Centre for Infinite Riches® — a digital and educational platform aimed at scaling the work he had begun. The Centre doesn’t offer shortcuts. What it does offer is a method: help people return to their essence, then build outward from there.

Its stated goals are bold: impact 4 million lives by Pushkar’s 50th birthday in 2026, and 100 million lives by Grandmaster B²’s 80th birthday in 2029. It’s not just a brand — it’s a timeline, a mission, and, some say, a gentle rebellion against the noise of the self-help industrial complex.

“He’s not trying to be a guru,” says one of his readers, a corporate executive based in Singapore. “He’s trying to wake people up — starting with himself.”

Anand’s teachings resist categorisation. At times, they resemble coaching. At other times, theology. He quotes Marcus Aurelius and the Bhagavad Gita in the same breath, often pulling from his own life with a candour that’s rare among public figures.

A New Definition of Wealth

As Anand approaches 50, he seems less interested in metrics and more focused on momentum. He often reminds audiences that riches go much beyond money. They’re about energy, freedom, relationships, and alignment with purpose — ideas that once felt abstract, but today, as burnout and anxiety climb globally, are becoming increasingly tangible.

His personal story — from finance to philosophy, from spreadsheets to self-inquiry — is resonating with a generation rethinking everything: work, identity, even time.

He still lives between London and India, still holds the precision of a banker, but speaks now with the rhythm of a sage — slow, deliberate, and generous.

“I didn’t set out to write a book,” he said at a recent event. “I set out to remember who I was. The book just came along for the ride.”
