Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Ujjain has brought pride to Madhya Pradesh by securing the first prize in the Super Swachhta League 2024 in the 3 to 10 lakh population category.
The prestigious award was presented during a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.
President of India honoured Ujjain's top civic officials for their outstanding contribution to cleanliness and public hygiene.
Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Municipal Corporation President Kalawati Yadav, and Municipal Commissioner Ashish Pathak received the shield and certificate on behalf of the city.
On Ujjain getting the first prize in its category in the country, all the Safai Mitras and all the employees and officers working in it have been congratulated by Mayor Mr. Mukesh Tatwal and other officials.
Along with this all the citizens of the city have been thanked for getting this achievement in the Swachhta Survey with their special participation.
It is noteworthy that Ujjain has got the first place in the 3 lakh to 10 lakh population category. For the first time, Super Swachhta League has been organized in which the name of Ujjain is included along with Indore. Bodies that have already received awards from the President have been included in the Super Swachhata League.

Madhya Pradesh merits in Swachhta League
Madhya Pradesh has once again grabbed the awards of the cleanest and second most cleanest cities in the country. Indore has been named as the cleanest city of India once again. Bhopal has been named as the second most cleanest city of the country.
