Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): A bee attack at Police Training School (PTS) on Maksi Road claimed life of inspector Ramesh Kumar Dhure on Wednesday. Five other policemen too were injured in the sudden attack.
The incident occurred around lunch time, during a sudden storm. To avoid storm six officers, including TI Dhurve had taken shelter in parking shed. The storm also disturbed beehive in a nearby tree and the swarm of bees descended and began stinging the group in the shed.

The injured include ASI Kailash Chauhan, TI Dinesh Patel, SI Balram Chadar, ASI Radhesh Shyam Goyal, and ASI Akhilesh Suryavanshi. The victims sustained stings in the head, face, shoulders and neck.
Inspector headed out to seek medical attention for leg injury
They were rushed to Charak Government Hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable. PTS SP Anjana Tiwari said Inspector Dhurve was en route to seek medical attention for a leg injury when the attack occurred.
“He had informed me around 3 pm that he was stepping out to see a doctor. It appears the bees struck just as he was leaving,” she added.Inspector Dhurve succumbed during the course of treatment.
