Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh, at present, has 37 coronavirus cases. The active corona cases include two junior doctors.
Thirteen patients have been discharged while one patient died. Thus, 50 Covid cases have been reported in the state since January this year, according to union ministry of health and family welfare.
According to doctors, in 50% of the total cases, people who contracted Covid had travelled from other states or came in contact with such people.
As for active cases, two patients came from Kerala, two from Pune, one each from Badrinath, Singapore, Mumbai, and Goa. In Bhopal, four cases have been reported wherein patients travelled from Mumbai, Bengaluru.

Of the three cases reported in Gwalior, two are junior doctors and one is from hotel industry who had travelled to Mumbai. Earlier, a woman in Indore had tested positive after returning from Kerala.
Four new variants have been found in India. The new variants are LF.7, XFG, JN.1, and NB.1.8.1. The RT-PCR testing in government hospitals is not being conducted because the department has not signed new contracts to buy testing kits. Though the state government had planned genome labs in medical colleges of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Rewa, only Bhopal and Indore have received machines.
