Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In all, 101 police personnel will get Rustamji Awards for 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 for showing exemplary bravery and high level of professionalism while performing their duties, officials said here on Friday.
The awards will be given in three categories - Param Vishisht, Ati Vishisht and Vishisht.
Seven police officials who will receive Param Vishisht medals are zonal SP Rajesh Sahay, Narsinghpur ASP Rajesh Tiwari, sub inspector Omprakash Chogade, Paraswada SDOP Aproov Bhalawi, Ujjain ATS inspector Pankaj Karma, ATS inspector Manish Jaiswal and police station incharge Vijay Vaskele. They will get a revolver and a certificate.
The eight Ati Vishisht medal winners will get a 12-bore gun and a certificate. They are former inspector, special branch, Manoj Sharma, constable, child unit, Sagar Jyoti Tiwari, AIG, cyber cell, Vaibhav Shrivastava, ASP Gopal Khandelwal, SDOP Bhawna Maravi, Balaghat police station incharge Avadhesh Singh Bhadoria, ATS constables Sunil Mishra and Anil Rawat. Under Vishisht category, 86 police personnel will receive cash award of Rs 50,000 and a certificate.
The awards were instituted in the state in 2013. The awardees were selected on parameters like exemplary work in dacoity eradication, anti-naxal movement, keeping communal tension in check.
