Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Al-Hira Public School in Indore's Lohia Gate, Chandan Nagar, reopened at 9:00 am on Tuesday after the Chandan Nagar police intervened and unlocked the school premises. The students were able to enter the school and resume their classes.

"We are relieved that the school has reopened, and we are grateful to the police for their prompt action," said Yaqub Memon, Director of Al-Hira Public School. The school had been shut down since July 7 due to a property dispute between the building's owner and her nephews.

According to Memon, the building's owner, Mehroon Bee, had rented the property to the school, and the school had been paying rent regularly through checks and bank transfers. However, the owner's nephews, Yaqub Multani and Ayub Multani, had been demanding rent from the school, claiming ownership rights.

The dispute escalated on July 7, when Yaqub Multani and Ayub Multani, along with their associates, locked the school building at 9:15 pm. "We informed the Chandan Nagar police station about the incident, and they intervened to resolve the issue," Memon said.

The police's prompt action ensured that the students' academic routine was not disrupted further. "The students are happy to be back in school, and we are committed to ensuring that their education is not affected by this dispute," Memon added.

With the school now reopened, the focus shifts to resolving the underlying property dispute. The school administration is hopeful that the authorities will work towards a permanent solution, ensuring the school's uninterrupted operation.
