Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A multi-level parking lot will be built at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport here to address the problem of parking. Civil aviation minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has given approval to a proposal in this regard.
Giving this information here on Saturday, MP Shankar Lalwani said that he met the minister and raised this issue. He told the minister that passengers faced trouble due to lack of parking at the airport.
The minister immediately agreed to the proposal to build a multi-level parking and issued necessary instructions to the officials.

Lalwani urged the minister to start regular international flights from the city and make the city airport fully ready for international flights.
On this, the union minister took a positive stance and said that if the state government provided land, the central government could develop a full-fledged international airport.
MP Lalwani mentioned that he was working towards doubling the GDP of the city by the year 2030 and airport expansion would play an important role in this plan.
Indore was becoming a major investment and tourism destination apart from being the cleanest city in the country. If an international airport came up here, it would further boost the prospects of the city, he said.
