MP February 21 Weather Update: Cyclonic Circulation Over Rajasthan & Western Disturbance Cause Weather Fluctuations; Mercury To Dip By 3°C

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Mercury is likely to fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius across the state starting Friday. Bhopal-Gwalior may witness clouds, while the sky will be clear in Indore and Ujjain.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain the same in the last days of February. Currently, there is a cyclonic circulation system over South Pakistan and Rajasthan, with a Western Disturbance active in North India. These systems together are leading to a dip in mercury.

Day temperature stays above 30 degrees

Most parts of the state witnessed fluctuating weather; however, the day temperature remained above 30 degrees. The highest 34 degrees was recorded in Khargone. At the same time, the mercury crossed 33 degrees in Seoni, Mandla, Guna, Khandwa, and Ratlam. Temperatures of 31 degrees or more were recorded in Damoh, Khajuraho, Sagar, Dhar, and Narmadapuram.

Bhopal recorded 31.6 degrees, Indore 30.6 degrees, Gwalior 28.8 degrees, and Ujjain 31.4 degrees. There was also an increase in night temperature. However, the mercury will start falling from Friday. Light rain continued in Morena and Bhind on Thursday.

The system will get active again on February 24

According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance will be active in North-West India on 24 February, further bringing changes in the weather in Madhya Pradesh.

February 21: Bhopal may be cloudy. Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and Gwalior will be affected by heat.

February 22: There will be an increase in day and night temperatures.
