Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A wedding celebration turned sour in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior when two uninvited women managed to steal a bag containing gold and silver jewellery from an elderly guest. The incident took place on Thursday in Gwalior city.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV, and police have registered a case against unknown suspects based on the footage. The accused is on the run and efforts are underway to nab her.

According to reports, Uttam Singh Dhakad, a resident of Tharet in Datia district, had come to Gwalior for his son's wedding at Radha Krishna Marriage Garden. As the wedding procession arrived, two women entered the venue unnoticed and mingled with the guests. While the family was busy dancing and clicking pictures during the "varmala" ceremony, the suspects targeted an elderly man holding a bag.

The women skillfully cut the larger bag and removed a smaller pouch containing jewellery, concealing it in their clothes before quickly exiting the venue. The stolen jewellery included approximately 15 tolas of gold and some silver ornaments, amounting to lakhs of rupees.

Gwalior police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects. A case has been registered based on Uttam Singh’s complaint, and authorities are working to track down the culprits.
