Maheshwar (Madhya Pradesh): The 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was celebrated with a remarkable blend of devotion and joy. The presence of the entire Holkar royal family and numerous devotees from the town and surrounding areas made the event grander. The day began with floral tributes at the statue of Ahilyabai, followed by traditional rituals and prayers.
A grand palanquin procession commenced from the royal palace, traversing the main streets of the town, returned to the palace. The exquisitely adorned tableau of Devi Ahilyabai captivated the attendees, drawing hundreds into a devotional atmosphere.

Notable attendees including Maharaj Shivaji Rao Holkar, Yuvraj Yashwant Rao Holkar, MLA Rajkumar Mev, civic body president Alaka Yadav and other dignitaries. The royal family also participated in the special Tuladan ceremony.
In the evening, special events were held at Ahilya Ghat. From 4:00 to 6:00 pm, 300 women together created a Parthiv Shivling and performed abhishek. A grand Maha Kakad Aarti of Narmada River was performed at the Ahilya Ghat which was lit up with the light of thousands of lamps, making the atmosphere devotional.
