Madhya Pradesh: Workers Claim Company Lacked Proper Safety Measures, Family Block Road After Death Of Worker

Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Family and friends of a 30-year-old heavy machine operator blocked the Neemuch-Jhalawar road on Monday night after his mysterious death while at work.

Deceased, named Tulsiram alias Shivlal Meena of Baisla village was employed by Dilip Buildcon Company in Rampura tehsil. He was found unconscious at his workplace when he did not return for lunch. Colleagues rushed him to government hospital, where he was declared dead.

Company supervisor Kamlesh Meena suggested that Tulsiram may have died from an electric shock, but the exact cause will be determined after post-mortem report. Rampura police registered a case and began an investigation.

Workers at the site claim that company lacked proper safety measures, leading to the tragic event. In response, villagers blocked the highway, demanding compensation for Tulsiram's family. The blockade continued until 11 pm, when an agreement was reached between company officials and villagers.

Sources indicate that the company agreed to provide a compensation of Rs 3 lakh, along with additional insurance benefits. Rampura police station in-charge Radheshyam Dangi confirmed that blockade ended after the agreement. He said investigation is ongoing and legal action will follow based on the findings of the post-mortem report.
