Bhikangaon (Madhya Pradesh): A meeting was held on Saturday at the Tantya Mama Auditorium to review the progress of various schemes under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
District Panchayat CEO Akash Singh chaired the meeting, focusing on the completion of e-KYC, Aadhaar seeding, Jan Dhan account linking, PFMS updates, eligibility slip distribution and MNREGA works. CEO Singh emphasised that all gram panchayats must achieve 100% completion of these tasks between June 15 and June 30.
He warned that failure to meet these targets could result in salary stoppages and potential termination of service.
The meeting revealed that wards 2, 4 and 12 in the council area had the lowest e-KYC progress. Due to this negligence, one day’s salary of Municipal Council CMO and the concerned computer operator will be deducted.
Additionally, teachers were warned that if their e-KYC progress is below 75% by June 30, their salaries will be stopped. The same applies to secretaries and employment assistants.
Panchayat secretaries from Andar Gram Panchayat, Padaliya Babaji, Kajhar, Khudgaon and Balkhadia were publicly reprimanded for slow progress.
The CEO also expressed dissatisfaction with MNREGA water conservation and dug well works, reprimanding the sub-engineer for low labour attendance. He warned that if progress is not made within a week, termination actions will follow.
