Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): Former chief minister and Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh met Congress workers during the Block Congress workers' conference in Kheda Khunti on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Singh warned the government and administration that attacks on Congress workers would not be tolerated.

He condemned the attack on Block Congress president Ishwar Dhakad and others, stating that attackers were visible on video, yet administration registered cases against unknown individuals under BJP pressure.

Singh encouraged Congress workers to stand fearless against the BJP, assuring them the party’s full support.

Advocates for Shivna River purification

He emphasised the importance of keeping rivers clean during his participation in the Shivna Shuddhikaran Abhiyan. On the 29th day of the campaign, he joined volunteers at the Shivna river bank, engaging in Shramdaan for over an hour.

He commended MLA Vipin Jain for his efforts in the Shivna River purification initiative, which has garnered support from various community members.

MLA Jain said that the beautification work along Shivna will begin soon, including painting the ghats and planting 5,000 bamboo and flower plants along the riverbanks to enhance Shivna’s natural beauty.
