Sendhwa (Madhya Pradesh): A half-naked body of a man was found in a drain near Jamnia village on Mumbai-Agra National Highway, about 10 km from Sendhwa city, on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Chaudhary, 44 of Jai Hind Chowk, Sendhwa.
Bijasan outpost police reached the spot after getting information and pulled out the body with help from villagers.
The body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. Family members told police that Manoj had been missing since Friday. They were continuously searching for him when they got news about the body's discovery on Saturday afternoon.

According to family, Manoj left home on Friday but did not return by night. They searched nearby areas and contacted relatives but received no information. Police have registered a case based on evidence found at the scene and started an investigation. It remains unclear whether the death was accidental or it was murder.
Bijasan police are checking nearby CCTV cameras and examining call details from the deceased's mobile phone. Further action will depend on the post-mortem report and technical investigation.
The deceased used to sell sugarcane juice on a cart. Family members said Manoj was an alcoholic. Police believe it might be death by drowning, but the exact cause will only be confirmed after the post-mortem report.
