Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): The 58th Foundation Day of the Group Centre of CRPF was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Friday. Group Centre DIG Surendra Kumar, along with officers and jawans, paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreaths at the Shaheed Smarak at the historic Shaurya Sthal.
A two-minute silence was observed in memory of the martyrs. Traditional patriotic songs were sung and a salute was taken at the quarter guard of the Group Centre. All officers present garlanded a holy urn filled with sacred soil from the 'Sardar Post'.

DIG Surendra Kumar highlighted that the Group Centre was established on August 1, 1968, in Neemuch, the birthplace of the CRPF and expressed pride in celebrating its 58th anniversary. He noted that
Neemuch has witnessed the gradual development of the CRPF and emphasised the force's readiness to tackle any challenge. He extended best wishes to all officers, jawans and their families.
The DIG also acknowledged that Group Centre Neemuch is one of the oldest in the force and wished well to other Group Centres established on this day.
In keeping with tradition, a 'Bada Khana' was organised in all messes during dinner. Future programmes will include a grand fair and various competitions.
