Kukshi (Madhya Pradesh): One person was killed and another injured when two bikes collided on Kolgaon Road near Susari village in the Kukshi police station area on Tuesday afternoon.

Jitendra Mangal (35), a resident of Harsud currently living in Bagh, was travelling with his wife to visit Khatu Shyam temple. Just a few kilometres before the temple, a bike coming from the opposite direction hit them, leading to Jitendra’s death on the spot.

The other rider, Akash (25), son of Dema from Susari, was seriously injured and referred to Barwani for treatment. Upon hearing of her husband’s death, Jitendra’s wife collapsed and was admitted to Kukshi Civil Hospital. Police are investigating the case and have sent the body for post-mortem.

Two killed, two injured

In a separate incident, two youths died following a bike collision at Mogra village under Kukshi police station limits, while the other two got severe injuries.

The incident took place on Monday night when Sunil Baghel (25), was returning to his village, Ghoda Takari, from Kukshi after work when his bike collided with another coming from the opposite direction carrying three youths heading to Dedla. In the intense crash, Sunil and Ramesh (22), from Dedla, died on the spot.

The other two pillion riders – Bhuru (25) and Rahul (24), both from Dabri – suffered serious leg injuries and were referred to Barwani Hospital.

The injured and deceased were brought to Kukshi Civil Hospital by 108 ambulance, where doctors confirmed the two deaths.
